GAMEE, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, receives investment from Pantera Capital to expand its presence on The Open Network (TON) via its viral game WatBird.
GAMEE, the mobile gaming platform behind the viral game WatBird and a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, has announced a significant investment from Pantera Capital. This funding will be utilized to enhance GAMEE’s presence on The Open Network (TON) through its popular WatBird game, a Telegram Mini App.
Expanding on The Open Network (TON)
GAMEE aims to amplify its integration within the TON ecosystem by incorporating TON-based digital assets, including tokens and NFTs, into its gaming experiences on Telegram. With over 4 million users having connected their TON Wallets to WatBird, GAMEE is focusing on attracting more gaming and Web3 communities, GameFi investors, and Telegram users. This investment follows a recent funding round from TON Ventures.
Pantera Capital’s Strategic Move
Pantera Capital, the first institutional investment firm in the US focused exclusively on blockchain, currently manages over $5 billion in assets. In a recent letter, Pantera highlighted its substantial investment in the TON ecosystem, marking it as the largest in the company’s history. GAMEE is one of Pantera’s initial investments within the TON ecosystem. The platform boasts a diverse selection of over 100 games and has a user base of 3 million daily active players for WatBird.
