Soneium has introduced its first music non-fungible token (NFT) collection, featuring unreleased tracks by NUU$HI, a Tokyo-based producer.
According to Soneium’s post on X, this release is a collaboration with Coop Records, a Web3 music label focused on blockchain-based music distribution.
Coop Records, founded by crypto entrepreneur Cooper Turley, has already brought over 600 songs on-chain, working with artists like Zeds Dead, San Holo, and Barry Can’t Swim. The label promotes NFTs as an alternative to traditional music ownership, though Web3-based music platforms have yet to see widespread success.
