Apptronik, a Texas-based robotics company, has secured $403 million in Series A funding on March 18, with ARK Invest joining the round.
Initially, the company announced a $350 million raise in February, but an additional $53 million was later added.
ARK Invest’s contribution allows investors to access Apptronik through the ARK Venture Fund (ARKVX), which focuses on companies working on new and disruptive technologies. The firm shared in a March 18 post on X, encouraging investors to explore the opportunity through the SoFi app.

Additionally, Google’s AI division, DeepMind, has partnered with Apptronik to enhance its humanoid robots with advanced AI capabilities.
Apptronik started in 2016 as a spin-off from the University of Texas at Austin’s Human-Centered Robotics Lab. The company has developed 15 robotic systems, including NASA’s humanoid robot Valkyrie. Its latest project, Apollo, is an AI-powered humanoid designed for industrial applications.
