PumpBTC’s IDO on Binance Wallet Triggers a Frenzy
As part of its 7th Token Generation Event (TGE), Binance Wallet introduced PumpBTC (PUMP) through an exclusive IDO. It gained immediate traction, with participants rushing to secure tokens.
The subscription was opened at 16:00 UTC on April 1st, 2025 for just 45 minutes, after which the window closed at 16:45 UTC. The announcement was made suddenly, and many scrambled to take part.
IDO Details & Surging Demand
Conducted on the BNB Smart Chain (BSC) platform, the sale mandated deposits of BNB utilizing Binance Keyless Wallet. Each user was limited to 3 BNB where the PUMP token was priced at $0.015 USD in BNB. Cap limits included 50,000,000 PUMP tokens (5% of supply), targeting $750,000 in total ($ in BNB).
In order to take part, users visited Binance Wallet, went to the TGE purchase card, linked their Binance Keyless Wallet to PancakeSwap, and released BNB.
The demand was mind-boggling — the IDO was oversubscribed 247 times in 10 minutes. A total of 307,187 BNB was committed against a target of 1,239.52 BNB. A few users went so far as to take out loans using the DeFi lending protocol in order to acquire BNB to optimize the small window and not pay significant borrowing fees.
The token distribution was done on a proportionate basis with PUMP tokens awarded in relation to the amount of BNB contributed as a proportion of the total BNB deposits. You have to claim your PUMP yourself after the sale, and any unused BNB will automatically be refunded. Tokens can then be seen in wallets, or traded right away.
