Schulz’s transition into 3D design began during his time in design school when he opted for a project in Cinema4D over photography. His passion for creating something out of nothing was further fueled by Octane Render, which provided instant feedback and invigorated his enthusiasm for 3D design.

The Render Network has played a pivotal role in Schulz’s creative process, particularly during tight production schedules. For instance, during a project for THEO Laser Welding, the Render Network allowed for rapid rendering without hindering local machine performance. This capability was crucial for meeting a demanding 12-day deadline for a 30-second CG animation.
Asian Influence and Design Approach
Schulz’s minimalist lifestyle in Asia has also left a mark on his design approach. He describes his style as a blend of German structure and Asian freestyle, emphasizing functionality and harmony amidst chaos, akin to the bustling Asian metropolises.
Future Projects and Collaborations
Looking ahead, Schulz is excited about his ongoing project for a Netflix short movie intro sequence, a 3000-frame-long depiction of a futuristic city. This ambitious endeavor showcases the Render Network’s capacity to push creative boundaries further. Schulz is also collaborating with Carsten Böhnert, a fellow 3D artist, on upcoming projects.
