Avalanche (AVAX): Trading near $34. Market cap ~$14.5 billion
Avalanche, launched in 2020 by Ava Labs, is a high-speed Layer-1 blockchain built for scale and flexibility. It uses the Avalanche Consensus Protocol for lightning-fast finality and ultra-low latency — perfect for everything from DeFi and GameFi to NFTs and enterprise apps.
AVAX fuels staking, gas fees, and governance, while its unique “Subnet” design lets developers build custom blockchains without leaving the ecosystem. Backed by over $230M in funding and adopted by big names like FIFA and VanEck, Avalanche blends performance with scarcity through capped supply and token burns.
Sui (SUI): Trading near $3.40. Market cap ~$12.1 billion
Sui is a high-performance Layer-1 blockchain developed by Mysten Labs and launched in 2023, built for speed, scale, and developer flexibility. It uses the Move programming language — originally created by Meta — to treat assets as programmable objects with clear ownership rules.
Sui’s unique execution model supports parallel transaction processing, unlocking true horizontal scalability. The native SUI token powers gas fees, staking, and governance. With a focus on gaming, NFTs, and user-friendly design, Sui aims for mass adoption. While holders delegate SUI to validators for rewards, there’s no centralized pooling with Mysten Labs or promise of profit-sharing.

The Setup — Avalanche
Avalanche can be a volatile name, but after finding support near $16, AVAX eventually broke out over the $26 to $28 range — which had been a key resistance area for most of 2025. In doing so, it also cleared the 200-week moving average.
If Avalanche can stay above this zone, bulls might look for an eventual return to the December highs, which were up near $55. However, if AVAX loses steam and breaks back below the $26 to $28 range, then momentum could turn more bearish.
What Wall Street’s Watching
MU
Micron stock is in focus this morning after the firm reported its Q4 results. The company reported earnings of $3.03 a share and revenue of $11.3 billion — both beating analysts’ expectations. Further, management expects next quarter’s earnings in a range of $3.60 to $3.90 a share on revenue between $12.2 billion and $12.8 billion. Analysts were only expecting earnings of $3.05 a share on revenue of $11.9 billion. Dig into the fundamentals for MU.
BABA
Shares of Alibaba are higher by more than 8% in pre-marketing trading after the company pledged heavier investment in AI — on top of a $53 billion plan unveiled earlier this year — and announced a collaboration with Nvidia to develop physical AI capabilities (like model training and environmental simulation). BABA stock has risen seven weeks in a row and with this morning’s gains, brings its total year-to-date return to more than 100%.
GS
Goldman Sachs stock rose as much as 2.4% at one point on Tuesday, but finished the day higher by just 0.1%. Still, the firm hit a new record high on the move as GS rides a five-day win streak. Shares are now up more than 40% on the year. Check out the chart for GS.
