The US General Services Administration (GSA) has signed a new agreement with xAI, the artificial intelligence (AI) company led by Elon Musk, to bring its Grok 4 and Grok 4 Fast models into use across federal agencies.
The deal, which runs through March 2027, allows government departments to access these tools through GSA’s standard purchasing systems.
According to the GSA, the goal is to help agencies improve how they manage tasks, reduce time spent on repetitive work, and support faster decision-making.

Elon Musk, CEO of xAI, stated that his company offers the most advanced AI systems currently available. In a statement shared with Fox News Digital, Musk acknowledged the Trump administration’s support in enabling this government-wide rollout.
Musk emphasized that the use of AI would help the government meet its objectives more effectively. He also said that his team is eager to continue working with President Donald Trump and his advisors to speed up the integration of AI across federal agencies.
Josh Gruenbaum, who oversees the Federal Acquisition Service at GSA, explained in a press release that the increased access to AI models supports the current administration’s focus on improving government performance. He described these tools as important for achieving the kind of government transparency and accountability that citizens expect.
As part of the deal, xAI will provide hands-on support to agencies. This includes helping teams adopt the Grok models, adjust their workflows, and make the best use of the tools.
