Yuga Labs & Amazon Launches An NFT Game In The Otherside

Yuga Labs, a blockchain technology company and one of the most influential players in the non-fungible token space, best known for creating the popular Bored Ape Yacht Club and Mutant Ape Yacht Club non-fungible token collections, has partnered with Amazon Games to launch an NFT game in the Otherside metaverse. Yuga Labs has made this hot announcement at ‘ApeFest’ in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

Amazon Gaming Is Coming To Otherside

In an October 25 blog post, Yuga Labs, through its Othersidemeta X account, confirmed that they have partnered with Amazon Games, a game development and publishing studio linked to a global e-commerce and technology company, Amazon, to launch a non-fungible token game in the Otherside metaverse. Yuga Labs CEO initially made this bullish announcement at ApeFest in Las Vegas.

Launched in 2021, Yuga Labs is a renowned digital asset incubation studio developing digital assets, gaming projects, and entertainment brands, with strong ambitions to dominate the web3 entertainment landscape. Yuga is home to some of the globally acknowledged non-fungible token collections, including the Bored Ape Yacht Club, Mutant Ape Yacht Club and Bored Ape Kennel Club NFT collection.

Yuga Labs is also the team building the Otherside metaverse, a platform that fuses elements of online games and virtual worlds, with Otherdeeds holders playing a central role in the ecosystem. The digital asset company is also developing other NFT gaming experiences, such as the Dookey Dash game, to engage its community and explore the capabilities of web3 gaming. Yuga aims at building a vibrant community around its projects through storytelling and exclusive NFT events.

On the other hand, Amazon Games is a popular American video game company and a division of the online retailing company “Amazon” that primarily focuses on publishing video games within the company’s development divisions. This gaming studio aims to become the most player- and developer-focused company in gaming. Some of its games include New World and Lost Ark, and there’s an incredibly exciting future roadmap ahead.

Yuga Labs And Amazon Integration

Under the new integration, the two gaming giants ‘Yuga Labs and Amazon’ anticipates joining forces to create one-of-a-kind game on the Otherside metaverse. As part of this project, the two have launched The Voyager ‘Boximus, a limited set digital collectible for the Otherside metaverse. This NFT collection, slated to mint on October 30, 2025, will offer holders access to in-game items. While previously sharing about its vision in gaming, Christoph Hartmann, the Vice President of Amazon Games, remarked:

“Gaming is bigger than ever before, but so too are expectations amongst an even broader and more diverse set of players than the industry has ever seen. Our vision is to be the earth’s most customer-obsessed game creator and publisher, and to realize that vision, we are committed to finding talented developers and giving our team both internal and external the time and resources they need to build games of the highest quality.”

In response to this integration, the Otherside NFTs have exploded in trading sales volume and in floor price value. Based on nftpricefloor.com, a renowned on-chain non-fungible token market data aggregator, the Otherside Expanded has seen its floor price surge +42% to 0.15ETH. The Otherdeed for Otherside NFT collection has also seen its floor price jump +52% to 0.16 ETH in the past 24 hours.
