OpenAI has introduced a new feature for ChatGPT named Pulse, designed to deliver personalized daily summaries without the user needing to ask for them.
According to a September 25 announcement, Pulse reviews users’ past chats and preferences to prepare updates that match their interests.
These summaries are shared as visual cards, which allow quick browsing or a deeper look when needed.

During a demonstration, ChatGPT asked the user what they would like to receive updates on by the following morning. Options included local events, hiking suggestions, and help learning a new language.
Users can choose topics, and the assistant will prepare a set of tailored updates accordingly.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman described Pulse as part of a plan toward a more personalized assistant. The aim is to reduce the need for users to constantly give instructions and instead let the assistant anticipate what might be helpful.
At launch, Pulse is available in preview for Pro subscribers, with plans to extend it to Plus members later.
It can also connect to Gmail and Google Calendar. With this access, it might prepare a daily agenda, suggest possible tasks, or recommend places to eat while traveling.
To improve accuracy, users can provide feedback on each card by pressing the thumbs-up or thumbs-down buttons.
