College students in the United States and Canada can use ChatGPT Plus at no cost for a limited time.
OpenAI announced that the paid version of its artificial intelligence (AI) tool will be free to eligible students between March 31 and May 31, 2025. Once a student claims access, they will be able to use it for two months.
This offer is only available to students enrolled in recognized degree programs. OpenAI is promoting the service to support students during exam season. The tool can help with tasks like gathering information, summarizing sources, coming up with ideas, and editing written work.
