Monad crypto is up 25% since launching less than 24 hours ago, after a rocky start that included a significant sell-off that sent MON to $0.022.
Early drama sparked significant speculation about the project after Coinbase temporarily disabled the sell button and withdrawals, prompting many to speculate that the exchange could be about to orchestrate a gigantic pump for MON.
Monad is an EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) Layer-1 network that raised over $430M across six separate funding rounds, including a public sale on Coinbase.

Early Jitters for Monad Crypto Traders Before +25% Surge
Within the first few hours of Monad crypto going live, there was a massive sell-off as presale buyers scrambled to dump their allocations. This caused MON to dump from its listing price of $0.026 to $0.022.
The spot volume after less than 24 hours of being live is over $800M, while the futures volume sits at over $1.5Bn. Early on, the majority of this volume was on the sell side, prompting Coinbase to disable sells and withdrawals on the MON contract temporarily.
It was spotted by Crypto Twitter trader @tobific, who commented that “$MON sell pressure got so high that Coinbase had to disable selling”, which was accompanied by a screenshot of the Coinbase UI showing that MON sells had been disabled.
While Coinbase quickly reinstated sales and withdrawals for Monad crypto, many believe the exchange’s decision to disable sales was an attempt to stem the bleeding and avoid making the first Coinbase presale appear as a failure.
The decision seemed to have worked as MON bounced from the $0.022 level and has surged +27% to its current level of $0.0322. Volatility on this new project is still high, but as of now, Monad crypto seems to be holding steady above $0.03.

Trading Volume Outstripping the MON Market Cap Making a Bullish Case for $0.1
With the bullish price action on the Monad crypto chart since bottoming at $0.022, trading volume has begun to soar, hitting $805M for spot alone, with over $1.5Bn in Perps.
The volume has now begun veering more on the buy side following the initial sell-off, highlighting a shift in sentiment for MON, as the token holds strong above $0.03 and is currently trading for $0.032.
Monad’s market cap is around $322M, and with trading volume over the past 24 hours exceeding the market cap by more than 2x, a bullish picture emerges.
Whenever trading volume exceeds a token’s market cap, this tends to indicate demand for the asset and the potential for a gap-fill, in which the market cap catches up to the volume.
While MON is far too new to perform any accurate technical analysis of its chart, the next psychological target for Monad crypto is $0.1, representing a +200% move from its current price.
