Zama Announces Partnership with Elliptic to Support Compliance Screening for Confidential Financial Applications

Zama has announced a partnership with Elliptic to integrate blockchain intelligence capabilities into Zama’s confidential financial applications. The collaboration will support compliance screening processes while maintaining the confidentiality protections of Zama’s technology for applications built on public blockchains.

Zama, the fastest-growing confidentiality protocol for onchain finance, today announced a partnership with Elliptic, the global leader in blockchain intelligence, to bring trusted blockchain intelligence to the confidential financial applications Zama is bringing to market.

As financial institutions move beyond experimentation toward real-world blockchain adoption, they require infrastructure that combines financial confidentiality with the compliance controls expected in regulated markets. Zama believes these requirements are complementary, not competing, and that compliant confidential finance will become a foundational building block for institutional adoption.

As the first step in the collaboration, Elliptic will support wallet risk screening for the confidential vaults powered by Zama, while preserving the confidentiality guarantees that are fundamental to Zama’s technology. The implementation demonstrates how confidential financial applications can be compliant by design, without exposing encrypted balances, transaction amounts or other sensitive financial information.

Unlike many approaches to privacy in blockchain, Zama was built with the expectation that confidentiality and responsible risk management must evolve together. Protecting sensitive financial information should not come at the expense of reducing illicit activity. From the outset, Zama has chosen to embed robust compliance controls into its products, helping institutions adopt confidential finance with confidence.

Zama selected Elliptic because its blockchain intelligence is already trusted across the digital asset ecosystem and aligns with the compliance expectations of the financial institutions Zama is building for.

Elliptic supports more than 700 institutions globally and analyzes more than 90 million dollars in digital asset activity every day.

“Institutional adoption depends on trust,” said Rand Hindi, CEO and Co-founder of Zama. “Financial institutions shouldn’t have to choose between protecting sensitive financial information and meeting compliance obligations. Confidential finance must deliver both. Our collaboration with Elliptic is an important step toward making compliant confidential finance a reality for institutions building on public blockchains.”

“For institutions to move real financial activity onto public blockchains, confidentiality and compliance have to work together rather than against each other. Zama is building confidential finance with compliance in scope from the start, and we are glad to support that by screening wallets for risk before a transaction proceeds. It is a model for how confidential finance can meet the standards regulated markets expect,” said Jackson Hull, CTO and COO at Elliptic.

The implementation is designed around strict confidentiality boundaries. Elliptic performs the KYT on addresses and doesn’t require any other confidential information from end-users. This approach enables institutions to apply trusted compliance workflows while preserving the confidentiality expected from modern financial infrastructure.

As confidential finance matures, Zama will continue collaborating with leading infrastructure providers to help establish the technologies, operational models and industry standards required for institutional adoption. This collaboration with Elliptic represents an important milestone in that journey.
