Bitcoin ETFs Add $232M as Blackrock Keeps Setting the Pace
Eight sessions into the current run, institutional appetite for crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) remains firmly intact.
Bitcoin and ether absorbed another $424 million combined, while demand further down the market strengthened. HYPE posted a particularly strong session relative to its size, and XRP funds continued their recent run of additions.
Bitcoin ETFs attracted $232.12 million, with Blackrock’s IBIT once again providing the largest contribution. IBIT brought in $200.76 million. Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust followed with $46.83 million, while Fidelity’s FBTC added $25.59 million.
Bitwise’s BITB received $5.96 million, and Morgan Stanley’s MSBT added $3.37 million. A $50.39 million withdrawal from Grayscale’s GBTC reduced the final total. Daily bitcoin ETF trading value reached $2.26 billion. Combined net assets closed at $98.63 billion, remaining within reach of the $100 billion mark.
Ether ETFs delivered an equally convincing session with $192.35 million in net inflows and no reported withdrawals. Blackrock’s ETHA led with $115.66 million. Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust attracted $34.67 million, while Fidelity’s FETH added $32.01 million.
Blackrock’s ETHB received $6.37 million. 21Shares’ TETH and Franklin Templeton’s EZET added $2.71 million and about $937,000, respectively. Ether ETF trading value totaled $951.11 million, with net assets climbing to $15.13 billion.
XRP and HYPE Draw Heavier Altcoin Allocations
XRP ETFs recorded $28.14 million in net inflows. Bitwise’s XRP fund led the additions, followed by Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ and Canary’s XRPC. Combined assets closed at $1.40 billion.
HYPE ETFs brought in $14.71 million, a sizeable addition for a category with $419.48 million in net assets. Bitwise’s BHYP attracted $9.57 million, Grayscale’s HYPG added $3.73 million, and 21Shares’ THYP received $1.41 million. HYPE ETF assets now represent about 2.35% of the token’s market capitalization.
Solana funds added $9.14 million. Morgan Stanley’s MSOL led with $5.51 million, followed by Bitwise’s BSOL at $2.65 million and Vaneck’s VSOL at roughly $973,000. Net assets closed at $1.26 billion, equivalent to about 2.23% of solana’s market value.
ETF Store President Nate Geraci said Blackrock’s current spot crypto ETF strategy remains tightly focused on bitcoin and ether, despite the strong performance of IBIT, ETHA and ETHB.
He argued that the firm is effectively making “a market call that no other crypto assets have enough value,” while predicting that Blackrock will eventually broaden its lineup with additional spot crypto ETFs.
Wednesday’s flows add pressure to that debate. Capital is increasingly reaching beyond bitcoin and ether, and the smaller ETF categories are beginning to carry meaningful weight relative to their underlying markets.
