The rebound follows an earlier period of declining activity, with XRP trading near $1.50 in the analysis. The analyst stated:
“If this trend persists, it could indicate a growing preference among major investors to hold their assets off-exchange rather than keeping them readily available for sale.”
The distinction between exchange outflows and net flows determines what the headline figure measures. The former counts amounts withdrawn; the latter subtracts those amounts from deposits over the same period. Consequently, the reported total cannot be equated with a 1.38 billion XRP decline in Binance’s reserves.
XRP Transfers Can Shift Custody or Reach Other Exchanges
Transfers to another exchange can leave XRP available for sale elsewhere, even after the coins exit Binance. XRP wallet custody depends on who controls the private keys. A custodian manages these credentials for customers, while a noncustodial arrangement leaves them with the account owner.
