At Electric Coin Co. (ECC), our mission is to empower people with economic freedom. We build to protect privacy, consent, security, and human dignity. We pursue this mission through two complementary tracks: advancing the Zcash protocol and innovating in products that bring privacy to life for everyday users.
This quarter, ECC’s focus is on reducing technical debt, improving privacy and usability for Zashi users, and ensuring smooth dev fund management.
Key Priorities
- Ephemeral Transparent Addresses: New temporary transparent address generation for every swap to ZEC using NEAR Intents to increase privacy and reduce transaction linkability.
- Transparent Addresses Rotation: New transparent address generation every time a previous address receives funds.
- Keystone Resync & Disconnect: Enabling Zashi-Keystone users to unlink and resync their Keystone devices.
- P2SH Multisig Support in Keystone: Securing the management of Zcash Dev Fund resources to fuel ongoing Zcash development. While it will first serve as a dev tool for Lockbox access, any wallet with PCZT integration will be able to use Keystone for signing.
How We Work
ECC builds with agility. Our roadmap is directive, not fixed. It’s designed to adapt as we learn, discover, and respond to change. As new information emerges, we will improvise. As market conditions and other factors impact ECC revenue (positively or negatively), we will re-tune our approach, refocus our efforts, and step on the gas.
The ECC roadmap is updated quarterly, along with objectives and timelines, and we welcome your participation. If you have skills that can help us, we’d love to work with you. Twice a year, we’ll invite Zcash community developers to meet with us in person, to help us plan and adapt.
