The Fear and Greed Index is hanging out at 70 (still in Greed), while Bitcoin – fresh from its weekend slump – is once again testing the strength of that $94K level.
ETFs played the role of grinches on Friday: BTC ETFs saw $277M in outflows, and ETH ETFs dropped another $75.1M.
Festive breaks mean fewer traders at their desks, which could magnify the drama. Mark Cullen pointed out that liquidity is stacked high at $115K and lurking below $80K – just waiting for whichever side of the tree gets shaken first.
Meanwhile, The Kobeissi Letter warns that declining global money supply could pull BTC down by as much as $20K.

Overall, the market’s mood is gloomy – Santiment noted that vocal traders are showing extreme FUD. Sounds bad? Maybe not – some are jingling all the way because they love buying when everyone else is freaking out.

🎅 Stephen Miran, economist and former advisor, has been nominated as chair of the Council of Economic Advisors. His vibe? Financial deregulation and crypto innovation will be key to powering the next economic boom.
2/ Business wonderland
Cathie Wood, the founder of ARK Invest, believes Trump’s policies could make it easier for companies to merge or get bought out – what’s called mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
For smaller startups, especially in crypto, being bought or teaming up with bigger companies can give them the resources they need to succeed.
Wood says Trump’s administration might roll back rules that have made these deals harder in the past. This could help startups find opportunities to grow, bring new ideas to life, and keep innovation moving forward.
3/ A Bitcoin reserve?
Trump’s wishlist for his presidency includes a strategic Bitcoin reserve – which is part of what fueled BTC’s rally this past month.
Is it happening frfr? TBD. But the big guns are talking about it:

VanEck predicts BTC could hit $42.3M by 2049, so the reserve could potentially offset $42T in national debt;

Michael Saylor says a strategic Bitcoin reserve could strengthen the US dollar, shrink the national debt, position the US as a leader in the global digital economy, and generate up to $81T for the Treasury.
